World Bank Highlights Decade of Progress Strengthening Health Systems in Morocco and Tunisia
Since 2015, multiple World Bank projects have supported strengthening health systems across Morocco and Tunisia, focusing on service delivery, system-building, and human-centric care. In Morocco, a rural early childhood development program reached over 511,000 new beneficiaries, raising the share of women receiving at least one health or nutrition service during pregnancy from zero to 86% in target areas, while health insurance coverage rose to 80% of the population by 2023, up from 70% the year before.
